Storm causes outages: Consolidated Electric works to restore power quickly and safely

Mount Gilead , OH – Consolidated Electric Cooperative (CEC) reports power has been restored to more than 1,100 members in the service area, and approximately 5,300 still remain without power. This is a result of storms producing ice and high winds affecting transmission lines throughout the entire CEC service area. Crews were dispatched and worked through the night and are currently working to restore power as quickly and safely as possible. An estimate of restoration time is not currently available.
