Fewer than 5 individual outages remain: Consolidated urges those without power to call

Mt. Gilead , OH- Consolidated Electric Cooperative (CEC) estimates that there are fewer than 5 individual outages remaining to be restored in their service territory. The Cooperative is urging all members who do not have power to call today, in order to be sure no one is overlooked. The phone number is 800- 421-5863.

Over 6,000 electric members were without power at some point following the ice storm that waged war on electric and transmission lines. An additional nine crews from Vaughn Industries, New River and cooperatives in Kentucky and Ohio were called in late Tuesday to assist CEC crews with restoration. Consolidated would like to thank everyone for their patience and understanding, and assure members that everything practical is being done to restore power quickly and safely to those still without power.
